On 2 June 2026, an information session on funding opportunities available through the European project RIVCircular was held at PCTEX in Badajoz, Spain, bringing together more than 30 representatives from companies and private entitites of various sizes, from the regional innovation and circular economy ecosystem.

The in-person event took place from 10:00 to 14:00. During the first part of the session, attendees were introduced to the objectives of the RIVCircular project, the funding opportunities available for innovative circular economy initiatives, and the key elements and steps in forming a consortium and submitting a project proposal. Participants were also able to raise questions and gain first-hand information about the eligibility requirements and application procedures. At the second half of the session, participants were offered initial one-to-one guidance, helping them identify suitable funding opportunities and potential next steps for their projects.

The high level of participation and engagement demonstrated the growing interest of Extremadura’s business and institutional communities in advancing sustainable, innovative, and circular solutions through European cooperation and funding programmes.
